Using Semantic Web Technologies to Discover Resources within the Intranet of an Organization

  • S. C. Buraga
  • T. Rusu

The paper presents a semantic Web-based architecture used to discover Web resources within the Intranet of an enterprise. This platform is based on Web services and agents, exploiting the spatial/temporal relations related to Web resources. All involved information within the system is XML-based, by using special languages for expressing metadata and temporal relationships between Web hypermedia documents.

Looks impressive. It is not very clear what problems do you try to solve within the distributed environment using agents.

Do you use agents for negotiation? Using agents for the dynamic discovery and organisation of services is a challenging area indeed.

Do you use agents for coordination or syncronisation of services?

Can you provide references to more information so we can learn more from your experience in this area
