The Reconfigurable Manufacturing Session could be considered as a contribution towards the advancement of the research for the Manufacturing of the future. The submitted papers and the virtual presentation of some of them are valuable. I would like to thank the authors for their efforts.
The papers attracted the interest of many researchers and engineers around the world and a considerable number of them put questions and commented the papers (average 2 question/comments per paper). Many thanks for their participation in this session. I urge the authors to complete the discussion be answering to the questions as soon as possible.
From the papers and the discussion it can be concluded that the Reconfigurable Manufacturing is quite promising technology towards the greater agility and autonomy of the factory of the future.
