Once we have the predicted concentration levels of SO2 in PPB, they are converted into an Air Quality Index (AQI), so they can be better interpreted by authorities and the public. An environmental contingency is presented when the levels of SO2 exceed 150 Parts Per Billion (PPB) average in a period of 24 consecutive hours. Once the obtained results are proven to be effective, the method can be applied to predict the other pollutants concentrations.
