IPROMS 2007

It is time formally to close IPROMS 2007. The Conference has been an outstanding success, attracting some 5400 registered delegates and guests from 76 countries in the first two weeks of July 2007.

Thank you for your great support. We hope you will join us again at future Conferences, including IPROMS 2008 which will be held between 1 and 14 July 2008. Preliminary details of IPROMS 2008 will shortly be available at the website of our EU-funded Network of Excellence on Innovative Production Machines and Systems, I*PROMS (URL: www.iproms.org).

Meanwhile, this website will remain open for some time so you could continue viewing papers and presentations and posting comments and responses.

Many people and organisations have helped make IPROMS 2007 a reality. We are grateful to all our sponsors, Conference Programme Committee, Special Session Organisers, Session Chairmen, I*PROMS partners, I*PROMS Central Coordination Team and MEC colleagues, without whom IPROMS 2007 would not have taken place.

D T Pham, MEC, Cardiff University, Wales, UK.

Top of the Pops

As of 11:11 GMT on 20 December 2007, the Conference has received 184,793 visits from 135 countries.

The most popular session has been that on the Bees Algorithm.

The Number 1 Hit has been the paper "Multi Objective Optimisation Using the Bees Algorithm" which has had 1821 reads (cf. the number of reads of the original IPROMS 2006 "Bees Algorithm" paper, which is 12,022 and still increasing!).

Conference Fees

For authors, the registration fee is €200 per paper accepted. This fee covers a copy of the printed proceedings and a CD-ROM.
