Enterprise resource planning (ERP) is one of the driving factors for the success of the companies. However, it was realized in the recent developments that the companies need to extend the resource planning to resource management. SERM (Strategic Enterprise Resource Management) is specifically developed taking all management aspects of resource utilization (including planning) into account. SERM is composed of Strategic Management, CFA (Customer Focussed Activities), ERP, Technology Management, Performance Management allowing good management of complexities, dynamic changes and uncertainties. However, due to heavy complexities and dynamicity the support of computers and intelligent systems seem to be inevitable. This study defines a general framework for utilizing artificial intelligence especially agent technology supporting SERM.
