Innovation in global competition: a simulation model of an industrial network

Abstract
This paper presents a theoretical and computational model to analyze the dynamic of inter-organizational relationships among firms of a complex network, such as an industrial district. The aim of the proposed model is to verify, through generative experiments, the effects of some determinants of coordination mechanisms on firms and on the network’s performances. The conceptual model was implemented on Agentsheets platform and some experimental sets was developed in order to analyze the evolution of the network in different contexts.
