Implementation and dissemination of RM in the industry

Abstract
The mission of TNO (the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research) is to apply scientific knowledge with the aim of strengthening the innovative power of industry and government. By Developing, integrating and applying knowledge we generate creative and practicable innovations: new products, services and processes, fully customised for business and government.
The Rapid Manufacturing department of TNO consist of two sections; Research and the Demo Centre [RMDC]. While the research section focuses on the realization and improvement of equipment, materials and processes, the RMDC bridges the gap regarding the market demands with redesigning parts making them suitable for RM, providing training, workshops and seminars.
The Workshop Rapid Manufacturing has been developed in order to enable companies to get acquainted to the various Rapid Manufacturing processes, materials and design rules. To explore the possibilities themselves, the companies are invited to contribute with a case of their own. Due to the success, TNO has decided to offer the workshop on an European scale. The paper describes, amongst other types of technology transfer, the format and the content of the workshop.

Dear authors,
These are very interesting examples of technology transfer. Have you tried to quantify the level of RM technology take up by the industrialists that attended your workshop (purchase of RM equipment, RM sub-contracting, ...)?

Dear authors,
Thank you very much for your contribution to IPROMS2008.
Could you please upload your video presentation similarly to what other authors have done in this session?
Kind regards,
Emmanuel
