The VO Management toolkit (VOM) is a distributed system consisting of several partially independent modules specialized to various tasks. Task of whole VOM is to assist the VO manager by monitoring performance of VO, alerting in case of upcoming or impending deviation in a VO performance, and on up-to-date data simulating alternative VO schedules and configuration to optimize the VO future performance. In this paper the architecture of the VOM toolkit is presented as well as a simple use-case

Dear authors,

Thank you for participating in IPROMS 2007 Virtual Conference through your paper. Is the Virtual Organisation Management Toolkit (VOM) developed for "agile" companies? And how can SMEs implement such toolkit?

Thank you.

The VOM is developed to support management of VOs formed mainly in a network of SMEs. When the business opportunity for that the VO has been formed is fulfilled the VO is dissolved end the mission of the VOM finished.

In these days we are finalizing preparation for the real-life business environment testing. It will be engaged within few weeks. The cook-book how to implement and use the VOM will be finalized in cooperation with our partner network that will test the VOM.
Well, at first the VO manager should deploy the VOMod, MAF, SID and DSS tools on some server and provide the VOMod with information describing the VO configuration. Than the DI3 modules should be deployed on site of VO partners and later configured through the SID. When the VO is started the MAF is used for monitoring its performance and the DSS for simulation of possible and alternative futures of the VO.
