Electrode wear ratio and its effects on process modelling and process Capability

authors: Atanas Ivanov, Carlo Ferri, Antoine Petrelli, Krastimir Popov

A basis for an analytical micro Electro Discharge Machining (micro EDM) model of electrode wear is suggested, verification of which requires experimental work with pure metals. This paper studies the influence of factors contributing to electrode-tool wear during the micro EDM process of pure metals and the effect of the electrode wear on the process accuracy and process variability. The objective of the research is to investigate the wear behavior of the electrodes and discuss the suitability of electrode wear compensation methods.

Dear Authors,

It would be really nice if you can upload your paper presentation. I look forward to listening to one of you explaining the work done and the main results.
