Architecture Investigation of Energy Harvester for Wireless Sensor Nodes

Authors: Zhenhuan Zhu, Samir Mekid, Robert Pietruskiewics

Abstract

A research highlight is to design an energy harvesting system with small geometric characteristics, which works indoor for wireless sensor nodes. After analyzing the power consumption of each component in a sensor node and evaluating experimentally the amount of energy harvested indoor, the paper proposes a possible architecture of energy harvesting system and provides design considerations.

Dear authors,

Thank you very much for your contribution to IPROMS2008.

Is there any commercial products of this Energy Harvester?

Kind Regards,

Xuedong

Dear Xuedong,

We are progressing towards a proof of concept and prototype for practical applications we have currently. Commercial product may take time to be ready. Existing commercial solution we know are bulky and very expensive.

Thanks

Dr S.Mekid
