    A software has been developed to extract the grey information of the image. The conversion was made pixel-by-pixel into a 3-D data model for CAD modeling. A rapid prototyping system then built the 3-D relief surface based on the digitised grey intensity of the 2-D image. This is useful for producing a replica of a 3-D work of art from a 2-D photographic image.
