Acoustic pattern registration for a new type of human-computer Interface
This paper presents an analysis of acoustic pattern registration for a new means of human computer interaction. It discusses the relationship between variations in correlation coefficients and signal pattern registration parameters including signal sampling rates, amplitude digitisation resolutions and recorded signal lengths. Experimental results have confirmed that the accuracy of acoustic pattern registration is related to the data acquisition parameters adopted. Acoustic signal pattern registration with a single sensor could be improved using high sampling rates, high amplitude digitisation resolutions and long recorded signal lengths.

Yes, different materials influence the results, for example, the homogeneity of the materials
will affect the accuracy of TDOA based acoustic sources localisation. Apart from glass
so far we have tested metal sheets, wood boards, plexiglass and glass ceramic.

Does the material of the wave propagation medium influence the reults of the experiments? Have you carried out experiments with something other than glass?
